| Instructions | Referring Laboratory Use Only Collect 1 mL of blood directly into each of the four (4) QFT-Plus blood collection tubes. If transferred from 6 mL Dark Green No Gel tube, collection into QFT-Plus tubes must occur within 48 hours from collection. The black mark on the side of each tube indicates the validated range of 0.8-1.2 mL. If the level is outside this range, a new blood sample is required. Immediately after filling each tube, shake them ten (10) times just firmly enough to ensure the inner surface of the tube is coated with blood, dissolving the antigens on the tube walls. Note: Overenergetic shaking may cause disruption of the gel and lead to aberrant results.After mixing, and within 16 hours from collection, incubate the QFT-Plus tubes at 37°C ± 1°C for 16-24 hours. After incubation, record “Incubated” on the tubes, followed by centrifugion of the QFT-Plus tubes for 15 minutes at 2000-3000 RCF (g). After centrifugation, ship the appropriately labeled QFT-Plus tubes to Ascend. |
