| Instructions | Optimum time to collect sample: 0.5 to 1 hour before next dose (trough) at steady-state (3-5 days after treatment with oral doses).
Serum: Collect blood in a red-top tube (no gel). Allow blood to clot at 15-28° C for 20-30 minutes. Centrifuge at 25-28° C (2200-2500 rpm, 1000 x g) for 8-10 minutes. Transfer serum to polypropylene or polyethylene transport tube. Ship refrigerated (cold packs). Samples left at room temperature for more than 3 days are not acceptable. |
