Ordering Recommendation May be used as an adjunct marker for assessment of renal function, particularly glomerular filtration, and for monitoring renal transplant viability and early detection of graft rejection. Elevated serum levels may also support evaluation of lymphoproliferative disorders, neoplastic processes, inflammatory conditions, and autoimmune diseases (e.g., SLE and Sjögren’s syndrome).
